Tiresome Twosome

THE EGG PLANT (lol)

For Monica

For Monica again

Yo!

Finally i got to unwind and relax just today. I went down to La Union early Friday, we arrived around seven in the morning. I was expecting it to be humid but it was alright. The first thing i did was to take a several pieces of pandesal and proceeded to the garden to take some shots.

I wasnt able to do much since i kept going back inside the house for more pandesal. Our neighbor has a bakery and hell yeah they do make really delicious bread. Trust me you should try their "Pandebara" its so delicious. The sad part is you have to wake up really early to go buy them since they only make a few pieces. Well sad to say we were unlucky so we had to settle for their tasty pandesal. Of course in the afternoon going back to Baguio we did take home some of their loaf bread, really super soft and delicious too.

So i managed to take lots of photos of all the plants around the garden of the house. Trust me there are many plants.

During the break i borrowed the wig of Alex (Family friend) and let my dad wear it. LOL! He was so shocked when i told him to wear it but he gamely did and i took several shots of him. Then i asked my Uncle Noli to wear it. Super funny scene, instead of posing for me he immediately proceeded to the dining area where Auntie Brenda (his wife) was eating lunch. He sneaked up on her and she screamed out loud thinking that my uncle was a ghost.

I managed to take two shots of that funny scene. Another uncle came over (Dario) and yes i made him wear the wig too.

Anyway Uncle Noli got me another new toy. A Sony Ericsson X10 mini. Its so small but one cool Android phone. Managed to upgrade it to Android 2.1 as i got back in Baguio and its really small LOL. I installed Smart Keyboard Pro plus the latest Handcent and TADA!!!! I got an on screen qwerty. Still its so cute and with big hands i have a hard time texting but i will get used to it.

Anyway i did get some supplies for my camera too, a new Case Logic bag, four Energizer 2450mAh rechargeable batteries and two 8GB SDHC cards. And of course a nice fast charger. I got two 16Gb micro SD cards too for my new Android phone but the sad part is that the X10 mini is only up to 2.1 Android version, that means i cannot install applications on my memory card.

Sony said they wont be releasing any new versions of the Android for this phone which sucks big time since you need version 2.2 to be able to install applications on your memory card. Paging Sony!!! Just get me to version 2.2 and everything will be fine! I dont care about 2.3 or even 2.4, just get me to 2.2 and were good ahahahaha.

So for now its just the important applications since the phone memory is only 120MB. The good thing is one app is only 1MB each but so far i am good since Sony has Timescape installed which already has Facebook and Twitter integrated. It also has GMail (Of course Android is by Google)

Now i wanted to install Yahoo Mail but i read the reviews and their application for Android sucks. So i wont be checking Yahoo Mail on my phone i guess. I havent tried it on the web browser though.

Yesterday was a different story. We met up with my relatives around lunch time at Tunu Tunuan resto at Engineer's hill. Hell yeah delicious grilled food. After that we proceeded to SM. Uncle Noli said its just going to be 3 hours of shopping. LOL!

Three hours later the men gave up ahahaha. The ladies continued shopping as we men proceeded to Gerry's grill. They ordered two Towers of beer. Of course its Iced tea for me since i stopped drinking, oh yeah its been almost seven years.

Around 6PM the ladies returned only to find out they had one more stop but Uncle Ben decided we have dinner. And dinner it was for we could barely stand up after eating LOL. I enjoyed the HOT SALAD!!! Hell Yeah! It was hot fruit salad with hot cream but wait theres more....yummy shrimps!!! So delicious trust me!

I got home around 8PM. So tired and full and so i decided to call it a day....not! Lined up all the shows i missed for the day and started downloading. Around 11pm i was done downloading so it was bed time...for real.

Thats basically it for my past two days. Be going down to Manila. Tuesday its going to be Palawan! Then Friday its back to La Union for another mini reunion. Be staying there up to Sunday.

Ciao!

In The Realm of Butterflies

Yo!

I was lucky today for five butterflies were all around the house. Oh yes and they were very kind, they posed for me several times. Sad to say i didnt have my camera ready to catch them all flying together. You can blame PLDT for that ahahaha.

I woke up to no internet connection....oh yeah it made me a bit paranoid. When i was about to take the shot for the five butterflies the phone rang. It was my neighbor asking if we had internet connection. Okay so its PLDT's problem and not a local one. This made me lose that five butterfly in flight shot.

Oh well maybe next time. Tomorrow its going to be La Union for me. Not even done packing my clothes yet. I have to drain my batteries and recharge them. I have to delete the 800 photos on my memory card to have a fresh 1200 shots for LU.

So here are the shots i was able to take today. Take note i am not using a DSLR camera that is why the zoom is limited to 15x optical only. I dont activate digital zoom for it screws up the image. I will be posting some butterfly shots and the rest of my pics are at my FB album.

Entering my second week of photography basics and i am happy to test it out in La Union.

So much free time.

Ciao!

One Sunny Morning In Baguio

Orange Plant LOL

Mt Sto Tomas

Two Radars...One hidden by fog

The Penis Plant blooming

Trumpet Lily

Rock Formations along Chapis Village

No this isnt paradise...

Along Chapis Village

Yo!

I woke up early this morning and immediately took a peak outside the window. It was still dark at six but the sky was so clear. All i had to do was wait for the sun to rise.

At around 7:45AM the sun was shining brightly, finished my jumbo mug of coffee and immediately took my new toy and give it a spin.

For those coming up to Baguio for the Panagbenga Festival here are some sneak peaks to what you might see around the city. And take note that the pictures taken are only the scenes around my neighborhood.

Chapis Village is just a tiny secluded area located at the outskirt of the city. I managed to take pictures of the trees, landscapes and plants available. I did manage to take a shot too of the famous twin radars...unluckily there was a thick fog on Mount Sto Tomas so...just a take a look at the pictures.

The rest of the pictures are uploaded on my Facebook account. I will just try to post here some of the shots.

On Feb 10 i might be going to La Union. Of course i will do more practice with my new toy.

I am currently making a Youtube video. Trying something different. I am a writer but this time i will tell a story using pictures. I might be able to finish it by March since i am still enjoying my vacation.

Title of the video: "My Sad Story told in Pictures"

uy EMO!!! ahahahaha!

BTW dont ask me the names of the plants because i know nothing about them LOL.

Free Time: Day One

Flower Talk (Oo nag uusap sila!)

Orange Plant (LMAO!)

Penis Plant ( LOL! I dont know whats the real name)

Two Lovers (Name of Plant)

Yo!

Yesterday i watched 127 Hours the movie. I was wondering why it was nominated for so many awards so i decided to watch it. Oh boy it was a good movie. There was a point in the film where i felt his pain as he was...spoiler alert...cutting his arm off.

With barely a bottle of water, some snacks, a cheap army knife, a digital camera, a video camera and some climbing stuff he managed to keep himself alive for 127 hours. Amazing movie, a must watch.

I laughed so loud when her reviewed his video camera and paused the film showing the hot chick he just met...oh boy even in desperate times he tried to...well get some heat off ahahahaha.

Well enough of that, i too was curious about True Grit and so i did watch it. So that actress is a Pinay? Yeah she is good honestly. Dad said that the original film was much better story-wise.

Anyway i tried to take pictures of the three butterflies that frequent our neighborhood. They were so elusive and teasing me so many times. They would stay still on a plant, when i get my cam ready they fly away. LOL!

I did some more shots today. And messed up my watermark i guess. Hahahaha. I tried to make a circular watermark. I messed up the action function in Photoshop too. Too late to redo them since i already pressed the batch action.

Well at least there is a next time. Above are sample shots of today.

Thats all for now, have to watch some movies and enjoy my free time. I miss writing...not much ahahahaha.

Ciao!

Memories

Yo!

This morning i tried to learn how to make a decent watermark for my photos. I was able to make a simple one. Now how do i place it on all my 250 new photos? LOL

Okay did some reading and luckily there is this ACTION function in Photoshop. All you have to do is make a new action, press the record and it records whatever action you do to one photo. Press stop after saving and then you can apply it automatically to all your photos. Hahahaha!

Just press Batch something and input the folders and PRESTO!!! Photoshop does all the work for you. All you have to do is sit back and relax. After several minutes all your photos have watermarks.

I did upload my photos on my Facebook album...crap there is a limit of 200 photos per album. Okay so i split it into two albums. Now i got three albums for my idiotic shots.

Memories...

Several days i have seen this white butterfly near the house every morning. Its quite elusive since i had a hard time catching it to takes it photo. It just kept flying around but several times it landed on flowers. I managed to capture some shots of it and this time i knew the limitations of my new toy. This is the part where you wish for longer zoom lenses.

Anyway i am just a beginner. I have been taking shots of almost the same flowers around the house. The good thing is i managed to capture them while they were blooming. Well you might see them if you take a peek at my albums in Facebook.

Memories....

The butterfly did remind of me someone...yeah i still love her. Just being honest.

Several times i wanted to take a photo of the place where she posed when she was here. I just could not take the shot. It didnt feel right since obviously there was someone missing in the scene.

Maybe one day...

Thats it for now. I might be travelling on the 10th up to the 12th.

For two blogs they deleted the pirated content and for the other three blogs they totally deleted them. I would like to say sorry but hell no. Kapwa Pinoy na pirata so you deserved that.

And they thought i was not serious. Oh trust me i really am serious but i am setting focus on those people who distributed my two ebooks illegally.

Buti pa yung Blogger at yung Chillingeffects.org fast action. Dito sa justice system natin medyo mabagal but kahit mabagal basta makamtan ang hustisya.

MATA SA MATA. Of course di na ako aatras and i really want to teach this pirates a lesson. I would like to extend my gratitude to those people na "naambunan" for helping me and giving access to their emails. Of course I wont name you as promised but whatever i get in compensation from your "criminal" friends aambunan ko din kayo ahahahaha.

Ambunan lang yan. Its the only way to fight back. Di ko naman sinasabi na mukha kayong pera. Call it a reward.

Anyway

I am finally done with all my comm works for February!!! I cant believe it myself either. Aching fingers but all worth it. 21 days of vacation!!!

Still hindi pa nadrain ang battery ng cam ko. Paranoid na ako sobra. Ive taken 500 shots and i cant charge the batteries until they are fully drained. Sulit ang freebie batteries ahahahaha.

Ciao peeps! Today i start my vacation!

XOXO

3 Weeks of Boredom Ahead

Yo!

I definitely am in "the zone" ahahaha. I cant believe i managed to do major overtime and finish all my comm works for Feb in the last few days. Oh actually i do have one last chapter to write. I will do it later and probably finish by Sunday.

By Monday, its three weeks of free time! I am still thinking of what to do with my three week off. Pondering on continuing encodes and even writing new stories but hey there is no income in that so maybe not ahahaha.

Time is gold so id rather use my time in doing something else. Its better that way rather than finishing a story and letting it rot in my hard drive. Consider this an invitation to the comm work groups ahahaha. I got three weeks of free time maybe you would want me to write another story. For sure i can manage to finish one good story in three weeks. 21 days that is sure 21 chapters but of course you all know i can do more than one chapter a day if i am in the zone.

Anyway, i am quite amazed with the free batteries that came with my new toy. I charged it only once and oh boy up to this day it has not been drained. I took around 300 shots already and still there is enough charge for tomorrow's early morning practice.

With 2 ebooks on photography finished, i am still learning. The good thing about my place is that there are flowers available outside. So the flowers i took from my first day of test shots have now bloomed. Oh yeah. I managed to post some samples again.

The flower festival of Baguio opened last Feb 1. The major events are on the 26th and the 27th. Those who will be flocking here to Baguio will have an extra treat. Really cold weather. Yesterday we got 9.4 degrees celcius. Trust me one jacket is not enough if you are not form here. The cold is really painful....bed weather literally hahahaha.

So here i go. I have to work on my last chapter and then its 21 solid days of pure free time.

Ciao!
